Robert & Lara have previously served 7 years in the country of Italy. Now they are returning to work with PMc to reach the lost, make disciples of Jesus Christ, and see the Lord form Biblical churches with Italian men trained and equipped by God's grace in pastoral ministry.

Robert Vitter

Robert was born and raised in a loving family in Inverness, Florida.  He was radically converted by the grace of GOD when he was working in Atlanta after college.  Robert met his wife, Lara, in 2006 and they were married in 2007.  God has gifted their family with 6 children—Annabella, Priscilla, Lydia, Samuel, James and Maxim.

Robert and Lara were baptized and discipled as new believers at First Baptist Atlanta (FBA).  They were sent out of FBA to serve as house parents at Big Oak Ranch, a Christian home for abused and abandoned children in Alabama.  After three years there, The LORD called them to overseas ministry in Italy.  Robert and Lara served for 7 years in the Piedmont and Tuscany regions of Italy.  In 2020 the family moved back to the USA to adopt their youngest son, Maxim.

Robert is very excited to have had the past three years of spiritual growth as an associate pastor/elder at Christ Community Church in Lecanto, Florida.  After seeing the power of GOD and the necessity of the local church to take forward the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Robert is very excited that his family will be back in Italy joining the Practical Missions Cohort to serve with seeing a biblical church planted.

Robert is passionate about loving his wife and discipling their children and teaching them about the mercies of God in Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.  They love hiking, kayaking and outdoor family activities.  Robert is also a coach who loves investing in the lives of young people with the Gospel and years of sports experience.  Robert has coached football in Italy, basketball in Florida, and has been a chaplain with Lecanto High School through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. - Col. 3:17

Lara Graziano Vitter

Lara was born in New Jersey and spent her youth in New Jersey and then Chicago.  Lara's family was an Italian catholic family as her grandparents had immigrated to New York from Sicily as children.  Though Lara's family had a kind of "religion" when she was young, she was greatly influenced by family tragedy from a young age as she lost her mother at age 6, and then her younger brother a few years later.

Lara was successful in business and moved to Georgia after college.  Although very successful in business and society, Lara began to realize that there was something missing.  After another difficult time in her life, Lara was humbled and converted to Christ by the marvelous grace of God.  Not very long after her salvation, Lara met her husband Robert and they were blessed by many faithful and mature believers who encouraged them to give their whole life to Christ.  They were discipled by dear believers at First Baptist Atlanta.

Lara and Robert have six children and have served in Christian ministry since 2009.  They always remember how quickly The LORD moved in their lives, drastically changed their hearts, blessed them with godly teachers, and then called them to serve.  Robert and Lara were house parents at a Christian children's home in Alabama and then served with Operation Mobilization in Italy for 7+ years.  Lara is enthusiastic about raising humble and loving daughters and God-honoring courageous sons with The LORD's help.

Lara has a passion to see people saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to have a genuine relationship with God.  Especially those who have an idea about 'religion', but not necessarily a real understanding of the Gospel of God and the free gift of everlasting life in Christ.  Lara is gifted with great compassion and hospitality, these have been wonderful tools in the ministry, in the local church and on the mission field.  Lara is also passionate about encouraging young people to live righteous lives wholly committed to Christ.  Lara loves serving alongside her husband Robert and constantly serves whole-heartedly behind the scenes to facilitate the family serving together.  Lara is excited to be back in Italy to see the Gospel proclaimed and be part of a local church being started where the Bible is faithfully taught each week!

I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, 13though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, 14and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. - 1 Timothy 1: 12-15
