Calling Back the Drifters: A Beautiful Side Benefit of Evangelism

As we apply ourselves to evangelize the lost, by God’s grace, we also become vessels through which the Master, Jesus Christ, reaches out to sinners who have drifted away. Just like lost sheep finding their way back to the flock, individuals who have strayed from the path of righteousness hear the gentle call of their Shepherd and are beckoned to return. This act of calling back the drifters is a testament to the transformative nature of evangelism, where lives are touched, and souls are reunited with their Creator.

Encouragement Through Faithful Witness: A Contagious Zeal for Jesus

Engaging in evangelism, when done well, not only impacts the lost but also serves as a source of encouragement for fellow believers. It’s God’s design that your life be like a useful instrument in His hands in the work of saving others and making disciples of Christ.

Preserving Moral Integrity: The Restraint of God's Law Through Evangelism

Another significant benefit of engaging in evangelism is the preservation of moral integrity within society. Just as the law of God serves as a deterrent to sinful behavior, the act of evangelism exposes individuals to their need for a Savior and calls them to repentance. By proclaiming both the law and grace of God, faithful witnesses uphold a standard of righteousness that challenges individuals to reflect on their actions and consider their accountability before God. This act of holding people in check through the proclamation of the gospel is a powerful tool in shaping societal values and preserving moral decency. Upon hearing your voice today, others may laugh, ridicule, or persecute, but one day down the road God the Holy Spirit just might bring to their remembrance your faithful witness when He brings conviction to their soul. Let us never forget Saul who heard the faithful preaching of Stephen and gave his approval of his stoning only to later encounter personally the living Lord Jesus and be radically transformed (Acts 9).

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? - Romans 10: 14
